treacysolar.com · prepared for Treacy Solar only

Your website's contact email is still the default one Wix gave it: info@mysite.com

This review is about what your website brings in, and what stops it. We went through the site, your rankings and your reviews. The main findings: the site ranks for four searches and brings 11 visits a month, nearly all from one term, "solar panels limerick", where you sit 6th. The site is on Wix and was never fully set up. The contact email is still info@mysite.com, the address Wix gives every new site by default. There's a spelling slip in the steps section, and no navigation menu to move around the site. It's all detailed below, with what to do about each one.

01 The rankings

The whole site ranks for four searches

Your site ranks for four keywords, and all 11 of your monthly visits are non-branded, so nobody arrives by typing your name. Nearly all of it comes from one term. Here's the full list, it's short.

What people GooglePeople / monthYour situation
solar panels limerick260You're 6th. This one search is 91% of your traffic.6th
solar panels limerick260The map-pack version, also 6th.6th

troy panels432nd. A misspelling of your name that Google half-matches.32nd

That's the whole ranking profile. One real search sends you visitors, and you're 6th on it. Everything a Limerick installer should show up for, solar grants, battery storage, EV chargers, the surrounding towns, has no page on the site to rank. A site with a proper page for each service and area gives Google dozens of chances to find you, instead of one.

02 The specifics

The site was never finished being set up

The homepage has real strengths: a lead form on the first screen, the family and 3-generations story, clear savings figures. Underneath that, four things point to a site still on its template defaults.

Broken
The contact email is the Wix default
The email on the site is info@mysite.com, the placeholder address every new Wix site ships with. Anyone who spots it sees a site that was never finished, and worse, an enquiry sent to it may never reach you. This is the single most important fix on the page.
Missing
There is no navigation menu
The page has no top menu. A visitor who isn't ready to fill the form has no way to reach an about page, your past work, or a contact page to build trust first. The only path the site offers is the form or nothing, and most people take nothing.
Weak
A spelling slip in the process steps
The "4 steps for going solar" section opens with "Make Your Inital Contact With Us". On a purchase worth thousands, a typo in the instructions reads as a lack of care. It's a one-word fix, but it's on one of the most-read parts of the page.
Weak
One thin page on Wix
The site ranks for four searches because it's essentially one page. There are no separate service or area pages, no case studies, and no visible accreditation badges. For a family firm with three generations behind it, there's far more proof to show than the site currently makes room for.
Worth noticing

The email and the typo are quick edits. The missing menu, the missing pages and the default setup point to a site that never got past the Wix template. If the plan is a proper menu, service pages, area pages and a place to show your accreditations anyway, it's worth pricing both options: finishing the current Wix site, or building once around everything it's missing.

03 Done for you

The fixes, already written out

Each fix below is ready to hand to whoever manages the site.

Fix 1 · New text for your Google listing
This is what people see when Treacy Solar comes up on Google today, next to what it should say. The current title is just "Home", and nothing in it names Limerick, the family story, or your review record.
What Google shows now
https://treacysolar.com
Home | Treacy Solar
Solar panel installation in Limerick. Residential, commercial and agricultural solar with 70% average savings and 0% VAT.
What it should show
https://treacysolar.com
Solar Panels Limerick | Treacy Solar
Family solar and roofing installers in Limerick, three generations on local roofs. Systems from €5,500, 0% VAT, grant handled. Rated 4.9 on Google.
Fix 2 · The pages the site is missing
Each of these gives Google a page to rank and a visitor a place to land. Ordered by the size of the search.
/solar-panels-limerick/ — a dedicated page for the term you're 6th on
/solar-grants/ — the grant is the first thing homeowners search, no page today
/battery-storage/ — a separate service and search
/commercial-solar/ and /agricultural-solar/ — you offer both, neither has its own page
/our-work/ — real installations with the town named under each
Fix 3 · Finish the setup
Three fixes that take minutes and remove the clearest signs the site is unfinished.
Contact email → replace info@mysite.com with a real Treacy Solar address, and test that a form enquiry arrives
"Inital" → correct to "Initial" in the 4-steps section
Navigation → add a top menu: Home, Services, Our Work, About, Contact
04 The plan

What to do and when

Start at the top. The first two blocks are edits to the current site. The bottom block is the structural work.

Today
about 20 minutes total
Replace info@mysite.com with a real email, and send a test enquiry to check it arrives.
10 min
Correct "Inital" to "Initial" in the steps section.
2 min
Swap in the new Google listing text from Fix 1.
10 min
This week
about 1 hour
Add a top navigation menu so visitors can move around the site.
30 min
Start asking every finished, happy customer for a Google review. It's how "Treacy Solar" becomes a search people make.
ongoing
This month
the structural work
The pages from Fix 2. The Limerick page and the grants page first. Each a real page, not a copy with the words swapped.
2-3 days
Decide the platform question first. If you're adding a menu, service pages, area pages and a work gallery anyway, price both options: finishing the Wix site, or building a new one around them. The second is often less work.

05 What it adds up to

Run your own numbers on it

Here's the sum in its plain parts. 11 people a month find you on Google today, almost all from one ranking at 6th. Everything else a Limerick installer gets found for, grants, batteries, the surrounding towns, has no page to rank, so it sends you nothing. Build the pages and more people arrive. Fix the default email and the missing menu, and the people who do arrive can actually reach you and look around. You know what an average installation is worth and what your surveys close at. Run those numbers against 11 visits a month and you'll see the room.

Why sooner beats later

Every enquiry sent to info@mysite.com is one you may never receive, starting today. On your one strong term, "solar panels limerick", you share 6th place with futurepower.ie and candcelectrical.ie. They rank for more searches than your four, and the gap widens every month the site stays as it is.
